Code 95 projects supported include TSIMS, DAS, SIMMS and Machinery Control Systems Design/Development.  Code 92 projects supported include ASA Support, LPE Support, and LPA Support. GBS is providing engineering support to NSWCCD-SSES on improvements and modification to air compressor controllers (PLC) and high voltage power equipment. GBS also supports Code 92Õs OSPI Program. We performed equipment design comparisons and total ownership cost analyses for fuel oil valve actuators and we assist with the installation of TOTS valves in the Fleet. We support database development and data analysis of oil spill messages and root cause analyses of selected spills. For Code 91, GBS has performed program planning, cost analysis, engineering analysis, ship modernization design, technical reviews, design drawing reviews, technical analyses and services for ship design, naval architecture, marine engineering, and integrated systems engineering for HM&E systems, production planning and production engineering, and test and evaluation engineering in support of the SLEP for Army LSV-1 and Army LCU-2000 Classes. As the prime contract holder and lead HM&E design agent on the Army LCU-2000 Class SLEP program, The GBS Group is responsible for design and development of all installation drawings as well as management of all subcontractor tasking. This is in addition to the responsibility for drawing management, test procedure and Crew Familiarization Training development, production support, and milestone meeting/program planning support. The GBS GroupÕs design team consists of Marine Engineers, Project Engineers, Naval Architects, and Designers/Drafters. The design team attends ship checks and develops installation drawings that meet the requirements of Army, military specifications, ABS, CFR, and other industry standards. Ship alteration design drawings being developed by The GBS Group include replacement of main engines and reduction gears, shafting, propellers, generator sets, bow thruster driver, lube oil tanks, piping, and engine monitoring systems.

Code 95 projects supported include TSIMS, DAS, SIMMS and Machinery Control Systems Design/Development. GBS developed new innovative tools allowing them to add, modify, and delete metadata on graphics within specific hierarchy and various databases required for TSIMS functionality. GBS tested software and datasets prior to ship install and provided test reports with results to NSWCCD-SSES. GBS loaded, tested, and demonstrated the updated TSIMS Data Set onboard ship and provided a summary for the demonstration, test, and installation in the biweekly TSIMS Status Report. GBS provided installation training to the ShipÕs Force TSIMS Administrators and user training on all TSIMS processes and systems to Combat Systems Officers of the Watch and Combat Systems Chief Petty Officers. The team developed and produced all training guides, manuals, and training course curricula required to effectively transfer knowledge to necessary personnel. In addition, GBS has assisted in the design, development, and testing of the DAS and software used to test and verify the performance of the Data Interface Units of the Electric Plants and Propulsion systems of the Modernized DDG Guided Missile Destroyers. GBS provided programming, documentation, action tracking, audit, and verification and validation support to the SMMIS program at NSWCCD-SSES. GBS also supports Code 92Õs OSPI Program. We assist with the installation of TOTS valves in the Fleet. We support LSV and LCU SLEP programs for Code 91. We assist NSWCCD-SSES with the development of long-range plans, schedules and alteration packages, and attendance at technical and programmatic meetings. We participate in meetings and provide technical and design input, revisions and recommendations for Government review, and maintain and record meeting minutes. We prepare and recommend updates to technical manuals, installation drawings and procedures, and other technical documentation for systems, equipment and components.
